IMPORTANT!!! Rock the Vote at SHIP

Hey Dems!!

April is going to be one exciting month! We have the convention next week, plenty of opportunities to volunteer for campaigns, the prospect of having Clinton or Obama at SHIP, and the BIG DAY, April 22! Realize that this is a rare and exciting time for us all, so take advantage of as many opportunities as possible.

The Shippensburg College Democrats will be organizing a severe Rock the Vote Event on Friday, April 18 starting at 6pm. One of the three bands who has booked the event is, local favorites, Ledbetter Heights! Justin has been working hard on this project for the whole semester, and he anticipates it to kick ass. However, we need to make this event a priority for the next two weeks until the event.

This event is perfect for Shippensburg! With so many people on campus registering to vote or changing their party affiliation to Democratic, this event would make a great party before April 22. This event will be entirely organized by the ShipDems, which once again gives us the opportunity to show that young Americans can make a difference!

This is what we need from everyone to pull this off! We need feet on the group to do an aggressive advertising campaign and we need to raise money to rent the proper equipment. While you read this, Justin is working on advertising. As for money, I am organizing a phone bank to raise money while we are at the convention. Everyone who is going to the convention must come up with a list of 10 people who they think would donate at least $30 to organize this worthy cause. Close family and friends are ideal people. During down time at the convention, we will make phone calls asking for donation. It's a real easy way to bring in the $$$.

So get excited about Rock the Vote!! This is our chance to make a difference!
